Let us all "Live" for Christ

I was listening to a song about Joseph Smith and just before his martyrdom. In this song is a phrase that I thought was interesting. Obviously I can't sing it even if I wanted to, but here is what it says: "I lived for my Savior and I'll die for Him too." I lived for my Savior. I think that is one thing that a lot of us don't get. We all say that we would die for Him because we love Him, but what if our thoughts were more directed to living for Him.

I personally know that someone loves me when they give me their time and do what I ask them! We show the Savior our love for Him by forgetting ourselves and doing His will. Which, He being the perfect example of doing His Father's will. When we do His will, we do much more than doing a good deed. We show that we are COMMITED to follow Him and do the things which He has done. When we find that we are doing His will, focusing on Him, not us. We find that at that moment, we are happy. We are working the Atonement in our lives. The Atonement was not a passive thing for Him. Why should it be passive for us?

I know that when we put our trust in God like everything depends on Him, and then work as if everything depended on us, we will be blessed! It is fact! The Lord is bound to do what he promises when we DO what he says, but when we DO NOT what He says, we have no promise. We have such mercy for us, all we have to do is what Christ has asked us. This I know, because I have seen it so much in my mission! SO MUCH! I could not do the things I'm doing without His help. I love Him, I'm grateful to Him, I want to be like Him in so many ways. I pray that we will all start living for Him. I testify of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

"I knew thee...."

"Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations." -Jeremiah 1:5

I would like to focus on the first phrase, "Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee...." God, our Heavenly Father knew us. Before we came down here on Earth to expierence mortality, we were with our Father. He treated us all uniquely, He loved us the way WE, as individuals, needed to be loved. Just like any father with his own children, helps them individually according to their own needs! Not just a one-size-fits-all program. He helped us prepare to come here! Even now, even though we are seperated from our Father in Heaven now, He still loves us the same and is still helping us in this chaotic world. He has given us the Bible, The Book of Mormon, Prophets, Apostles, everything to help us be happy in this life. He knows us, and knows what is best for us! He allows trials to come upon us to help us learn and grow, which is why we came down here. We knew it would be tough, but it would be worth it. We knew he would help us if we got to a point in our lives that we couldn't go any further, that he would help us overcome anything in this life. I know that He knows me. I know that He loves me, which reason I am here in this life. I know that He wants me to be happy in the next life as well as the this one. God's plan is all about happiness. So remember, He knew you, He knows you, and He will never forget you.
