The Atonement of Christ

Recently I've been studying the Atonement. The Atonement is the suffering, death, and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Because of this he can forgive us of our sins. The suffering was when He took upon Himself all of our mistakes and mishaps. He knew the price. He knew the pain that it would cause, in fact, the pain was so great the he sweat great drops of blood from every pore. I think about it, and I realize that every mistake that I made, made Him suffer. EVERY wrong choice I make He suffered for! I feel so sorry for it...it's amazing that He loves me enough to suffer for me when He knew how many times I would mess up. This knowlegde has changed me! I came up with a quote:

"How many drops of precious blood did He shed for me? One far, far to many....."

This should be our mindset whenever we are presented a wrong choice. Christ suffered for EVERYTHING that we did. Big or small. He felt it. Let's start making those choices that won't cause Him to suffer. Lets all do what He has asked us to do. Lets all obey His Commandments and His gospel, The Gospel of Jesus Christ! Lets thank Him by doing what He has asked us to do...I love Him. I believe in Him. I want to make those right choices for Him.

I really enjoyed this video because A) I really like motorcycles B) It show's how the Gospel can change us to be better than what we may have been raised in or lived with. That's why I love this Gospel. It can change our lives. We have been recently teaching a man named Zack. He came from a pretty rough and rich background. As he is not only learning about the Gospel, he is applying it. Thats the key to changing our lives, it's the application. That's the genius of it! We find oursleves when we lose ourselves.
